This coffee comes from the region of Huabal, a district within the Jaén province of Cajamarca. The producers of Catagua come mostly from the villages of San Francisco and El Paraiso. They mostly grow Caturra, bourbon and Catimor, mixed together, and the farms are located around the village center between 1800 and 2050 meters in elevation. Huabal sits between two mountains and has many different micro-climates within it. Because of this, there is a wide variety of profiles that come from the region. In this cup we get pear, sugar and apple. Enjoy!
