This coffee comes from a a producer friend named Jamés Fernandez Vivas who started growing coffee 5 years ago after working for one of our exporting partners for years. Castillo is a varietal that was developed by the Colombian coffee federation to be more rust resistant. Over the years, with refined growing and processing practices at farms like Jamés' this varietal has become a micro-lot offering in some places. From this coffee we get currant, papaya and grape.
